1992 dark bay mare w/ star, 15.2 hh. Minimal racing. Barn name "Flash".
Flash had a very limited racing career, was retrained, and then sold to the people I bought her from. They were intimidated by her energy and used her for occasional trail riding. I bought Flash in 2001 and have her papers.
Flash goes English and Western, and prefers a french-link snaffle or soft rubber mullen-mouth snaffle. She is a forward, sensitive horse with very light aids, yet is forgiving of rider error and is very easy to rate when galloping cross-country. I've done a little of everything with Flash, including horse camping, hunter pace, fun show, games, and some polo. She's even taken fearless beginner riders on trail rides. Flash is a happy, sweet girl who loves to go places and do new things (she thought the hunter pace was the best thing ever), and is also a lovely mover. Her jumping is green but enthusiastic.
Her flaw is that she has a lot of energy and a very small brain. Standing still requires constant reminders from her handler, but she is not dangerous or difficult. Her attention span is best when she's ridden at least 4 times a week with lots of turnout. She'd be happiest with a discipline like fox hunting, eventing, trail riding, or endurance.
Flash bathes, clips, ties to the trailer, loads, ponies, and is easy to have around. This is a reluctant sale, but I'm not working the non-polo horses enough. Flash needs someone to take her on more adventures. Asking $1,500.
Rider in the photo is 5'10". Taken Sept 2005.
